Ruby Kaye a.k.a. Geek-Girl:
When 'Little Miss Popular' RUBY KAYE lands a pair of super-tech glasses--invented by brainiac college geek Trevor Goldstein--in a game of Strip Poker, she's granted flight, super-strength, and--due to a flaw in the glasses' programming--super-klutziness. Ruby loves her new powers, and puts them to use, taking on bizarre villains--but the geekiness that comes with them has its obvious drawbacks… As PR co-ed Ruby, she hangs with the in-crowd, is top of the party-invite list, and has guys queuing up. As Geek-Girl… not so much. …But how Ruby adapts to her new-found powers and clique-alienating klutziness just might be the making of her--as she learns that with great glasses comes great responsibility, and that geeky can be sexy! |
Karin Carpenter
Karin is the über-bitchy unofficial leader of Ruby’s clique. With an eye for weakness and a cutting wit, if she thinks you’re wearing the ‘wrong top’, you’re gonna hear about it. Karin studies PR, and has an on-off thing with business student Todd Ketchum. Todd is a jock, and by no means Karin’s intellectual match, but fulfils her physical needs when required (though he’s always trying to get her to do things she doesn’t particularly want to; which she trades off for expensive gifts and favors that generally involve humiliating someone). Karin sees Victoria Beckham as a role model. She does not see Karen Carpenter of ‘The Carpenters’ as one. Anyone that aims a ‘Carpenters’ crack at Karin is gonna get such a mouthful of abuse, they’ll be smarting for weeks! |
Mr. Mash-Up
The product of his father’s dalliance with a cold but beautiful alien goddess, Mr. Mash-Up was the ‘black sheep’ of his demonic other-dimensional family. Mash-Up houses a human-shaped empty vessel inside himself, and can tap into your mind and transform the vessel into a clone of whoever you hate. Mash-up’s consciousness then transfers into the vessel and it crawls out of him, stretching and shedding his skin. The vessel is brittle, however--and if it breaks, Mash-up’s discarded shell sucks it back in, reforming around it--incubating and slowly healing the vessel. Bitter and twisted, Mash-Up deserted his dimension and came to Earth, where he takes out his bile by becoming whoever people hate and tormenting them. He also wears a brimmed hat to protect his delicate complexion from sunlight. |
